Covid-19 Support Barometer

R 0 OF R1,200,000
COVID-19 FUNDS RAISED - as of 17 September 2020

Thank you to all our generous community members that have supported us thus far. We truly appreciate each and every person that has been active in contributing in our fundraising efforts.

We are still a long way away from securing the longevity of our Hellenic Community of Pretoria, during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

We are calling on members to step up and assist, in our fundraising efforts, whether you wish to donate your time, money or ideas, it will go a long in supporting the HCP Council in ensuring that our Benevolent, Church, Staff, School and all other Community related beneficiaries are taken care of during these unprecedented times.

The Spartan Programme

The funds raised by our Hellenic Community of Pretoria (HCP) through rentals of facilities, fund-raising events, as well as the vital donations and Church collections, are used for the ongoing running of our Church, our School & Cultural offerings as well as for funding of our Benevolent initiatives.

During these difficult and unprecedented times that we all find ourselves in, the financial implications that the Covid-19 pandemic has had, and will continue to have, on the running of our Church and Community is of the utmost concern, as we are no longer receiving our monthly stable income.

As a Community that is over 110 years old, we have overcome many challenges in the past and certainly we will face others in the years to come, but to do so we need to continue to encourage and support each other, as well as our Community, in whichever way or means available to each one of us.

The current running cost of the community are approximately R250 000-00 a month. With this in mind, we are calling upon “300 Hellenes” to each contribute between R100 – R5 000 a month to ensure the continued existence of our Hellenic Community.

By becoming a Spartan, you’ll play a key role in preserving our religious & cultural heritage for this generation and for generations to come.

Additionally, we thank all the community members who have already donated so generously!
