Calling all Hostesses to enter the table decor competition inspired by the theme “A day at the movies” to take place on Saturday 1st October 2016, at the HCP Main Hall. Cost is R200 per person and all proceeds will go towards the Pretoria Hellenic Benevolent Fund.
The Brief: The hostess may interpret her own personal idea of the theme “A day at the movies” to be her table decor or centrepiece: be it her favourite movie, or a scene from a movie or whatever she wants to depict using table decor as her platform to show us her creative talents.
The Judging Criteria: The most creative interpretation of the theme “A day at the movies”.
Competition Rules: 1) A first, second and third place prize will be awarded, these prizes are not transferable. 2) The Judge’s decision is final. 3) The Pretoria Hellenic Benevolent will not be liable for any loss or damage of any items. 4) The hostess’s table allocation within the layout of the hall, will be by random lucky draw. 5) Each hostess should ensure all the seats at her table are filled and paid for in full, the hostess does not have to pay for her seat. Should there be extra seats required or if there are not enough guests at your table please let us know so that we can assist. I.e. 10 guests hostess is the 11th 6) The Pretoria Hellenic Benevolent will provide round tables, chairs, a white table cloth and all cutlery and crockery – as well as tea/coffee/juice. 7) Each hostess is to bring along one sweet dish and two savoury dishes, which will all be added to the buffet table from which all guests will serve themselves. 8) Hostesses should have her table(s) decorated and complete by 12h30 on the day for the judging to take place, before all the guests arrive at 14h00.
