Notice is hereby given of a Special General Meeting of the Hellenic Community of Pretoria for the consideration of and voting on a draft Resolution submitted by the Council herewith pertaining to the sale of immovable property of the Community on
Sunday 06 March 2022 at 17:00 at the Kykkos Hall, 37 Lynnwood Road, Brooklyn, Pretoria
In terms of Clauses 12 and 14.2 of the Constitution of the Community the Council of the Community duly resolved to submit to the Special General Meeting the following draft Resolution for the consideration and voting on by the Special General Meeting.
DRAFT RESOLUTION
That the Special General Meeting of the Hellenic Community of Pretoria (the Community) held on 06 March 2022 deems it desirable and in the best interest of the Community to sell Remainder of Erf 760 Brooklyn Township, Pretoria (the Property)
RESOLVED, that the Community enter into the proposed Sale Agreement by the Hellenic Community of Pretoria (Seller) and Varsity Stay Proprietary Limited (Purchaser) of the Remainder of Erf 760 Brooklyn Township, Pretoria as contemplated by the Offer To Purchase signed by the Purchaser and attached hereto as Annexure ‘A’ and all the other documents referred to therein, including such other instruments and documents necessary and proper to conclude the sale of the Property as contemplated; and it is further
RESOLVED that the President of the Community is hereby directed and authorized to execute, for and on behalf of the Community, any and all documents required in connection with the sale of the of the Property; and it is further
RESOLVED that the proceeds of the sale not be utilized for operating expenses of the Community and that such proceeds be invested in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Community with the preference to applying such funds either for the purchase of additional immovable property or for the improvement of Erven 12 and 14 in a manner that enhances their revenue generating capacity.
